Wombat’s Wish
Forbes Fava Saville FP is a proud supporter of the Wombat’s Wish charity.
Wombat’s Wish is a grassroots not-for-profit organisation based in Clifton Springs, Victoria, dedicated to supporting children and young people who have experienced the death of a parent or carer. With outreach across the entire state of Victoria, Wombat’s Wish delivers therapeutic, evidence-based programs and services designed to reduce isolation, build coping skills, and support families as they navigate grief and bereavement.
The organisation provides a range of essential services including Weekend Grief Programs, one-to-one grief counselling, youth camps, family connection days, and online support opportunities. All services are offered free of charge to families, ensuring support is accessible when it is needed most.
Wombat’s Wish programs are delivered by a team of professional facilitators including psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, counsellors, and youth workers, alongside trained and qualified volunteers. With a strong focus on community connection, emotional wellbeing, and peer support, Wombat’s Wish helps children, young people, and surviving parents/carers find hope, understanding, and connection through their grief journey.
Peter Burke, who is a senior planner at Forbes Fava Saville FP, (due to personal experiences) has been an active supporter of Wombats Wish for many years. Peter is currently Borad Chairperson and has been a Board member for over six years.
