Cameron Forbes is the CEO and Senior Financial Planner at Forbes, Fava Saville F.P. and holds a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Financial Planning.

Cameron is a Certified Financial Planner® – which is the highest designation in the financial planning industry.

He started his career in the financial services industry in 2005 and five years later, founded Forbes Financial Planning in 2010 which we now know as Forbes Fava Saville Financial Planning.

Cameron continues to invest in his professional development by undertaking further study which ensures our clients always receive the highest quality advice. It goes without saying that he is passionate and committed to helping clients achieve their financial and lifestyle goals and being there when our clients need us most.

Cameron has a passion for baseball, a sport in which he excelled in for many years having played at a professional level in the US and Europe.

He is married to Kate who works in our Human Resources & Finance team and they have two children Macy & Buster.

When Cameron is not at work he and Kate are busy ferrying their children around to all their sporting and extracurricular activities. Cameron’s dream outside of work is for his two children to one day have a desire to play golf with him.

Human Resources and Accounts Coordinator

I have been working in the Human Resources industry for over 25 years. 

I have a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Accounting and Economics.  I have been working at Forbes Fava Financial Planning in a part-time capacity for 8 years.  As the business and team has grown so too has my role, which includes Human Resources, Payroll and Bookkeeping. 

Outside of work I have two young energetic kids that keep me busy and entertained.

Gus Smarrini

General Manager – Operations

Gus commenced his career in the Financial Services industry in 1985 and has held various roles in both the private practice and the corporate sector, ranging from financial adviser to business consultancy roles.

He joined our team as General Manager – Operations, in April 2024.

His role is to ensure that all facets of the business are running efficiently and smoothly, thus providing our clients with an even greater customer experience, and also ensuring that our team are provided with the best possible resources to further develop their skills and experience.

Away from the practice, Gus enjoys spending time with his wife Sarah, his two children and of course watching his beloved Geelong Football Club.
